What do you do with your current PC?

Most people use their PC for checking email, communicating with friends and things like online shopping and banking. Others do all this plus business or financial applications. Still others use the PC primarily to play games. And to some degree, most people do a little bit of all of these.

Doing business on your PC is more a matter of what software you use and how you use it. The requirements of that software will help dictate the configuration of the new PC. Let us know what software you use and we can make sure your new PC will fill the bill. 

If you play Solitaire or Bejeweled, Farmville, Facebook and a little email, you can use a pretty simple PC. If you play high-end games or MMO games you will need a much more powerful PC than the folks above.   

What will you do different on your new PC?

You are considering a new PC that will most likely be more powerful than your last PC. Are you getting this new PC to do something new? If there is a specific application, program or software package you intend to us, let us know so we can take that into consideration when designing the system.  

How old is your PC?

If your PC is more than a few years old, your new PC may well be significantly faster than your old one. If your PC is running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT or Windows 2000 you will be looking at a major change going to a new PC with Windows 7. This means that many of your old programs most likely will not work on your new PC. It is important to keep this in mind.

PCs that are less than three years old might benefit from an upgrade without having to replace the whole PC. 

Do you have a budget in mind?

It may seem crude to talk about your budget before we even quote a price but it saves a lot of time if you have an idea beforehand what you want to spend. We can quote your dream PC but it won’t do you any good if you cannot afford it.

How about a PC from a national chain store?

Personal computers are now a commodity and manufactures like Dell, Hewlett Packard, and Gateway sell millions of machines each quarter and sell them at unbeatable prices. If your primary concern is price then watch for sales and buy from the big guys. We are happy to work with any brand PC our customers have.
